Frequently Asked Questions

We are strongly committed to providing quality home care services.

TGCA Care is proudly Australia owned and operated with a strong commitment to the communities in which we work and live. We maintain consistency by having the same caregiver work with the same client. We feel this is the best way for a trusting relationship to develop.

What makes your support workers different?

All of our support workers are insured as our employees. We have a thorough screening program including employment history and criminal record check. We recruit qualified support workers who have graduated from a recognized personal health care program with current CPR and First Aid certificates. We also hire support workers with excellent experience from their personal circumstances. Every new employee attends our comprehensive orientation program and ongoing training is provided covering a wide variety of relevant topics.

Is there any obligation to go with TGCA?

No, our clients are not bound to a contract. We have client service agreements which outline the care plan particulars and request the client give reasonable notice (two weeks in most cases) for changes to services. Invoicing is typically run weekly or bi-weekly and payment is due upon receipt of the invoice.

Is there any minimum booking time?

The minimum time spent with a client is usually 2 hours. Under special circumstances we can accommodate unique service options. We will work with you to suit your unique needs. We can provide our support workers for a short or an extended period of time assisting you in your own home.

What other type of care do you provide?

Respite care can be provided to give the primary caregiver, usually a spouse or child, a break from their role. This could be on a regular basis to give the family caregiver some personal time to look forward to each week or could even be to provide care while on vacation. It is important that primary support workers get a break and respite care allows them to care for themselves too.

Our non-medical palliative home care services can make the final transitions of life at home easier. Our support workers have the sensitivity, compassion and experience to handle end-of-life situations.
